Return of the Crappy Day

  • Jan. 8th, 2009 at 8:42 AM

I posted a couple of weeks ago about a really crappy day that I was having, mostly because it involved a slight accident and a lady that I would like to refer to from now on as @#$!%.

That was December 10, to be exact.

Just to refresh your memory, I had spilled chocolate milk all over myself at the babysitters house, dropped the kids off, was on my way to work, and bumped into the lady in front of me in the car.  When I say bumped, I mean bumped.  I was already stopped, started wiping the milk off my coat again, foot slipped off the brake and I rolled into her.  No damage.  You can refer back to that post for more details if you so desire.

I went to court yesterday for the ticket that I got that day.  They offered me supervision and I took it.  Mostly because I wanted to get the heck out of there.  I hate being in traffic court and I was tired of getting hit on by possible "criminals."  (My favorite line of the day, "Are you a rock star or a model.")

I left the courthouse and thought it was over.

Until I got home and received a call from my insurance agent.

"Um, Heather, I received a claim today, it is a little confusing.  The lady stated she has no damage to her car, but is claiming neck and back injuries.  And not only that, but she waited a month before she even made a claim."

Anger immediately started seeping out of my pores.

"Let me tell you what happened that day."  And I proceeded to tell him the story, leaving out no details.  I did leave out all the expletives that I usually use when telling this story.

"Sounds like she's trying to get State Farm to write her a check that she doesn't deserve."  said State Farm agent.

I agreed, wholeheartedly.  I love my State Farm Agent (he's kinda handsome, too.)

I was told to call the auto claims number, give them my statement.

I did that this morning.  The anger I have for this @#$%! continues to fester inside of me.  I hate anger, but I think I hate this @#$%! more.

To be continued...................
