Well, tis the eve of Thanksgiving, the eve of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Please take a moment for yourself tonight, before you go to bed and awake to a new day, to breathe deep, and thank the heavens for whatever you are thankful for these days.
Although there is a lot in the world to not be thankful for, we still have our friends and families, and ourselves. Take care of yourselves this holiday season.
When I wake up tomorrow, I will be in St. Louis. We get to stay in a hotel tonight, so the kids are super excited!! We also get to watch the St. Louis Thanksgiving Day Parade in lovely downtown St. Louis tomorrow morning before heading to my sister's house for a feast. And I am particularly excited about our hotel this year because it is only ONE block from the parade route!!! No walking forever, or finding a parking spot. I can literally wake up, walk outside and around the corner and enjoy the parade. Oh yeah, there are at least 2 Starbucks within 1 block of our hotel and the parade route!!!
I, once again, am in charge of the apple pie for dessert tomorrow. My brother-in-law loves my apple pie, so I am always happy to bake one for him.
So here's to Thanksgiving, the beginning of that chaos we call the holidays, great parades and apple pie!!
