It's a dreary Monday morning, and I'm at work, trying to get motivated to write this grant. It's not due until February, so I still have time, but I need to get started. I need to get "in the zone."
But, instead of doing that, I am posting here!
My Illinois SCBWI listserv has done something interesting this weekend. Everyone is posting their "6 word Biography" or memoir, or whatever you want to call it.

"In the spirit of simple yet profound brevity, the online magazine Smith
asked readers to write the story of their own lives in a single sentence. The
result is Not Quite What I Was Planning, a collection of six-word memoirs by
famous and not-so-famous writers, artists and musicians. Their stories are
sometimes sad, often funny - and always concise." - NPR
Here is mine:
Wearing many hats, she dreams big!
And one last note, a bit depressing. I just got word that a good friend of mine (an ex-co-worker) lost her house to a fire over the weekend.
You hear about this stuff all the time, but when it is someone you know, it really hits home. It really makes you think, doesn't it.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family right now. And we are working on getting donations to her and her family. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers as well. Thank you.
